Okay, so for a long time now, I've been reeeaaallly wanting to try out the Glossier products, (a beauty and skincare range from the creator of Into The Gloss) however there was one teeny issue that stood in the way, being that they don't currently ship outside of the US. I'm gonna be honest with you, I felt a little deflated after finding this out, but after a moment of sulking, I suddenly thought about using a postal forwarding service to get some Glossier goodies into lil old NZ.
I briefly looked into it, but then got frustrated with the delivery fee calculations and kinda forgot about it for a little while. Then, I saw someone who I follow on Instagram, who also lives in NZ had just had a Glossier box delivered to her door!!! I commented, asking how she managed to purchase Glossier and she said she'd used YouShop, and it'd cost her $22 to get it delivered, but you could get it delivered for around $12-16 for a slower delivery.
So I jumped back online, and ordered my box of Glossier and sent it to my YouShop US address, and then I waited...
About a week and a half later, I got an email confirming that my order had arrived at the US address and that it was going to be forwarded to my NZ address. It cost me $16 to deliver my order from America to NZ which is quiiiite a lot, but if it meant I would finally get to try out the Glossier range, I was gonna pay that darn $16.
Another week or so later, I received another email confirming that my lil package had arrived in NZ safely and would be posted out to me in the next few days. Eeeeekkk!!!
Today I woke up to see the wonderful lil box on my doorstep and I was so excited to open it, I was shaking, (I'm pathetic, I know.)
I purchased the Balm Dot Com in the Mint flavour, Stretch Concealer in Light, Perfecting Skin Tint in Light, Generation G Lipstick in Cake and the Priming Moisturiser. All together it cost me $79 USD which came to a whopping $110 NZD (yikes) plus the $16 for delivery, but it was so worth it! The products are beautiful and I can't wait to try them all out! I also feel like I can justify this purchase because I have a new job at a Magazine so....yeah... Does anyone else feel the need to justify their purchases, because I definitely do!
Anyway, if you'd like to see any reviews of the products I bought, please let me know and I'd be happy to do one. Also, if you have tried any of the Glossier range, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
That's all from me today, but I will be back soon to show you some new releases from the Pigment Studio Shop, which I am really excited about! Until then, have a lovely week ahead.
