Hydrating Wonders

Now that it's getting colder (and quite cold at that), my skin has been getting a lot dryer than I'm used to, so thought I'd share with you, a couple of the products that I've been reaching for a lot lately.

The first product I want to mention is a holy grail of mine, and which I've repurchased 3 times, (it's that good). The Blistex Intensive Repair Spf15 Lip Balm is an ultra nourishing lip balm that restores the lips moisture balance. Its got a slightly minty, tingly sensation to it, which cools down sore, chapped lips. This product has been given pride of place on my bedside table, and I often find myself in a mini panic if I can't find it!

The next product is an old favourite, and it is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. While this is a mask, you don't need to wash it off. Just apply it like you would a moisturiser and then leave it to sink in overnight. In the morning your skin will be left feeling like an angels butt (a baby angel that is). The great thing about this product is you don't need to use a whole lot to cover your entire face. I usually use about the size of an edamame bean, (I was going to say a pea, but that's not the right size) for my whole face.

If I feel like the skin on my face is particularly dry, I will pat in a little of the Goodness Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil* before I apply the Origins mask, to really give my skin a boost. This oil is really silky making it a dream to apply and contains omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids. Also, it comes with a pipette. Need I say more?

Recently I found the skin around my eyes getting quite dry and sore, probably due to staying up late finishing up assignments for uni. I was looking for a good hydrating eye cream that wouldn't block up the pores underneath my eyes. I came across the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Eye Roll On, and decided to give it a go. I think it's safe to say I really enjoy using this eye cream, and the fact that it has a roller ball applicator makes it all the more wonderful to use. This product helps to hydrate the skin around my eyes, without being thick or oily.

And finally, a new product I've been really loving are the Massage Bars from Lush. I have From Dusk Till Dawn*, and Yes Yes Yes*, both of which smell amazing! I don't use these as a massage bar, instead I use them on my legs after I've shaved to make them feel ridiculously smooth. I particularly enjoy using From Dusk Till Dawn for this purpose, because the top of the bar (which I think makes it look a little like a boob) contains very fine shimmer, which creates a really pretty subtle glow to the skin. I'm definitely gonna check out more of these next time I'm in lush. The Dirty and Each Peach massage bars sound delicious, (I don't advise eating any lush product, no matter how good they smell).

I hope you liked this post, and I'd love to hear what products you've been loving during these colder months.
