SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES

Nivea In-Shower Rich Body Lotion- I recently purchased this product after seeing it featured on just about every beauty blog that I read, and deciding I had to see for myself whether it lived up to all the hype. I can safely say it does! When I first used this, I must admit it felt wrong to be applying a body lotion textured cream on my legs and arms in the shower instead of after, however I proceeded to do so before hoping out of the shower. After drying my skin felt UBER hydrated and smooth! I know I shouldn't have been too surprised at the results seeing as it does tell you what it does on the bottle and Nivea is a trusted brand of mine, but it was the weirdest thing to come out of the shower and not have to use a body lotion or butter. The only thing I would have to complain about would be how slippery it makes the shower floor after use. That is probably my own fault though, as I did go a little over board when squeezing out the product onto my hand. Ooops!

Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm- I've been loving using this lip balm before I go to bed as it really hydrates my lips for hours after application. The thick, honey and citrus scented balm glides over the lips without feeling too sticky or oily and leaves you with perfectly moisturised and crack-free lips when you wake up the next morning. I ordered mine off Feelunique.com as I don't think they sell this brand in NZ, (Maybe they do and I'm just not looking hard enough!) Another lip balm that is very similar, is the Orange Blossom lip balm by Nellie Tier, which smells almost identical to the NUXE one. While I mostly use this at nighttime, I occasionally use a little bit if I am going to be wearing a matte lipstick (such as the beautiful yet SUPER drying Ruby Woo by MAC). I find this prevents my lips looking like cracked clay by the end of the day, (Ooh! Unintentional Rhyming!)

Caudalie Beauty Elixir- I had been 'umming' and 'ahhing' whether or not to buy this due to the mixed reviews online, however with the YOLO attitude I possess, I gave in, (Sorry, I won't ever say that word again) While I don't feel it has made a miraculous difference in the appearance of my skin, this beauty elixir has settled nicely into my "I feel like pampering myself" skincare regime. I love to use this straight after a shower to help cool down my face and to prepare my skin for serum and moisturiser. It not only feels cool and refreshing, it also has a delicious sweet mint/herbal scent. (in the words of my mum "It smells like one of those beauty spas!") The only negative would be that it runs out quite quickly! I have been using this probably about 3 or 4 times a week for about 3 weeks, only using a few sprays each time and I'm already down a quarter of the bottle! I'm considering buying the larger bottle when I run out.

Real Techniques Setting Brush- You are probably aware that I love the Real Techniques brushes, due to my excessive mention of them on my blog, so it is no surprise that I purchased the setting brush to add to my collection. I've been using this brush to apply my highlighter on my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose as I find it to be the perfect size for this. Before I had been using my RT contour brush to do this, but I found it to been too big and it would sometimes apply too much product, so I now use it for blending out concealer instead.

Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush- I LOVE this product!!! The watercolour like texture of this blush delivers excellent colour pay off which is easily build-able without looking cakey or fake. The product melts into the skin to create a healthy flush of colour that lasts up to approximately 5 hours. I have the shade 'Flush', which is a beautiful soft pink (despite looking quite dark in the bottle) and I am definitely looking into purchasing more colours. One of the many things I love about this blush is that you barely need to use any product, meaning that one 15mL bottle will last you a very long time. I apply this with my RT stippling brush, however you can purchase the Daniel Sandler Watercolour blush brush separately. In all honesty, any synthetic brush would do.

I'd love to hear what products you've been loving! Have you tried any of the products mentioned above?
