Make Up Tutorial • Bronze Eyes & Red Lips

I FINALLY got around to making a new video! The reason it took so long is because I have just moved into a new room, so I've had to set up all my stuff and put up my fairy lights etc. I hope you enjoy this tutorial, and please feel free to request any make up looks in the comments!
By the way, I'd recommend watching this video in 720HD as the video looks quite blurry in 360p. (If anyone knows how I can make the video look clear in 360p, please do let me know!)

I hope you enjoyed the video! And thank-you for watching!

Review • Thin Lizzy Concealer Crème

I was recently requested to write a review on the Thin Lizzy Concealer which was in my Current Beauty Favourites post that I did a few days ago.
When I first saw that Thin Lizzy had created a concealer, I was a bit dubious because I don't generally like the brand because I feel their products don't really cater for paler skinned ladies such as myself. However, when I saw that the concealers had a wider range of colours, I became interested.

The shade I have is called Miss Von Dita, and I believe this is the lightest shade you can get. It contains Beeswax which keeps it waterproof and stays on all day (you do still need to set it with powder for best results). I really like this concealer because it is really pigmented and you only need a little bit to conceal any redness/dark spots, it also doesn't feel heavy and cakey like a lot of other highly pigmented concealers do.

I usually use my fingers to apply this product as the warmth from my hands help to blend the concealer out and create a natural finish, however, I have tried with a brush and it works just as well. I haven't tried with a sponge because I don't use one to apply my own make up, but I'm sure it would work, just be sure to wet the sponge first so that it doesn't absorb the concealer.

I don't think this concealer is great for under the eyes because it seems to crease quite a bit, and it also isn't a brightening concealer. You can get away with a little under the eyes, as long as you set it with powder, but even then, you may encounter creasing, (well doesn't that sound foreboding!)

All in all, I really like this concealer for spot concealing (I never apply concealer all over my face) and would recommend it to people who have oily-combination skin.

If you want to see a review of a product, please let me know in the comments!

OOTD • Khaki and Polka Dots

Hi Petals!
I don't usually do OOTD posts because I mainly focus on the beauty and make up side of things, but today I decided I would snap up a few pics of what I was wearing as I just love the combination of this khaki green shirt and red lipstick!

Photoshop Tutorial • Frankie Mag Inspired Tape

Hello Petals!

I was flicking through some old Frankie Magazines when I noticed these cute little bits of tape that looked like they were sticking the articles to the page. Being me (i.e.loving to experiment with photoshop) I decided to try and recreate the tape effect. I have made a picture tutorial so it is easy to follow along if you want to make these too!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Please let me know if this was useful and whether you'd like to see more of these Photoshop tutorials.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Review

I received two Colour Tattoo pots for Christmas 2012 from my parents which I had really wanted to try for a very long time! The colours I got were Tough as Taupe and Painted Purple. The pigmentation of these is excellent! Only a little bit is needed and the product can be used as an eyeshadow base or on it's own, however a little creasing will occur, (to prevent this from happening, set the product with a little translucent powder).

The staying power of these is great, though I must admit I haven't worn these for 24 hours at a time yet, so I cannot claim that they really last as long as they say they do! My favourite colour is Tough as Taupe purely because I prefer neutral shades. That being said, I really like the purple because It brings out the colour of my green eyes. I don't tend to wear the purple much however, but I like using it for makeup looks when I want my eyes to really pop. I find putting a little of the purple under eyeshadow of a different colour can still give green eyes an extra brightness and 'oomph' (did I really just say that?!)

I included a swatch of the two cream eyeshadows so that you can see their true colour, because they look a little different in the pot.

Overall, I really enjoy these Colour Tattoo pots and definitely want to buy more.

P.S. I have planned a DIY for the weekend, so If all works out, it will be posted by Sunday!

Film Inspiration • Moonrise Kingdom

I saw this movie at the end of last year, so I realise this is very late, but I felt compelled to still do this blog post as It's such a beautiful and inspiring film.
I was really inspired by the warm colours and the beautifully laid out shots as well as the wonderful music (most of the songs I listen to on Spotify frequently!).

How many of you have seen Moonrise Kingdom? What did you think of it?

I hope you enjoy these, and that these give you some colour inspiration! (I must admit, they look quite pretty all displayed down the page!)

Milan Fashion Week A/W 2013 Colour Inspiration

Recently I've been really fascinated by colours. More specifically css colours (web colours). If I see a colour I like online, I will usually "eyedropper" it and take note of the colour code for future use - The colours I use on here are quite often the result of my colour hunting. (please tell me this isn't weird!)

Anyway, I have been really inspired lately by the colours and geometric/bold prints from Milan Fashion Week A/W 2013. (I also adore the bright coloured shoes that the models are wearing!) I think these colours work so nicely together, despite not seeming like they'd go together.

Let me know if you want me to do a post on my favourite css colours!

FREEBIE • Blog Icons

Hi lovelies,

I realised it had been a while since I've done a freebie post! Today I was thinking of what to do, when I suddenly thought "Why don't I make blog icons?"

I've created 4 colours to choose from, all of which will be in a downloadable zip folder. I hope you enjoy these, and please link me to your blog if you have used them! I'd love to see them "in action".
