Pamper Session

I think we've all had those days where you just feel like soaking for a while in a hot bath or treating yourself with a mini pamper session. I know I have! When I do get the chance to take care of myself, I tend to reach for these products.
Schwarzkopf Ultimate Repair Anti-Damage mask:
This is a really conditioning mask that I apply to the ends of my hair when it feels overly dry and frizzy. It smells delicious too!
LUSH Tea Tree Toner Tab (That's a lot of "T's"
I got this about half a year ago in one of my bigger LUSH orders as they were doing free shipping for the weekend. I had two other toner tabs (the vitamin E and "A Token to the Forest Gods) But I used those ones within a few days of purchasing them! The LUSH toner tabs are great. My skin felt really clean after using one for the first time.
SEACRET Cuticle Oil
I don't use this everytime I paint my nails because, let's be honest, half the time I either can't find it or I don't remember to use it. However, when I do use it, I see a huge improvement in the skin around my nails and cuticles. I would recommend wiping over your nails with a cotton bud soaked in nail polish remover after using this, as any nail polish you paint over will just slide right off!

Maybelline Express Colour Nail Polish
Seeing as I hardly ever paint my finger nails during term (silly school rules) I paint my toenails instead. I find I tend to wear brighter colours on my toenails than on my fingernails, (I'm not sure why that is...) One of my favourite colours for my toes is this bright red by Maybelline. I love that these nail polishes dry fast as I am VERY impatient when it comes to nail polish. The only downside to this, is that you have to apply 2 or more coats to get a solid colour.

Please let me know if you like these sorts of posts as I enjoy writing them and will definitely do more if you do!
Hope you are all having a nice week!

August Favourites

Covergirl Lash Blast Length: This is the second time I have purchased this mascara. I have been flicking between a few, but this is the one I have really been loving at the moment.

Revlon PhotoReady Foundation: This was the foundation I was using before I bought my MAC match master foundation. I have to admit, I actually prefer this one during winter as it doesn't dry out my skin as much as my MAC one does. It also smells better!

Nourish Treatment Argan Skin Repair: I was sent this to review (see previous post for review). I use this oil around the sides of my nose before I go to bed, as the skin there gets incredibly dry. This works a treat!

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes: I LOVE these wipes. They are so convenient, because they remove any traces of makeup and are gentle enough to use on the eye area. They are also not sticky, (I find some facial wipes can leave a sticky residue on the skin after use).

David Jones Blending Brush: I spotted this brush in a David Jones store in Melbourne when I was on holiday. I had been looking everywhere for a dense blending brush. It has quickly become my favourite eye-shadow brush because it can be used to blend (as mentioned in the name) or it can be used to apply shadow all over the lid.

Sleek Oh So Special Palette: I was given this by my cousin ,Eva, for Christmas last year. The palette is full of nudes, purples, pinks and browns. I particularly like the cream coloured eye-shadow as it is great for all over the lid. As you can see, I have hit pan on that particular colour, so I am trying to make it last as long as possible from now on!

MAC eye-shadow in Tempting: I purchased this eye-shadow near the beginning of the year but I hadn't really worn it as I couldn't figure out how to make it work on my eyes. Recently I've discovered that it looks really nice used as a sort of eyeliner. It adds a really lovely shimmer to the eye without being too obvious.

Nourish Radiance Brightening Moisturiser: Does exactly what it says. This product has made my skin feel so fresh and radiant. If you would like to see a full post about this, check out my previous post!

Review • Nourish

Radiance Purifying Cleanser $19.30*
Brightening Moisturiser $29*
Argan Skin Rescue $36.80*

For about a 2 weeks I have been trialing some skincare products I was sent by NourishChristiana, who was the lovely person who got in touch with me, asked what skin type I have, so she could send me products accordingly. I have Normal/Combination skin as I have fairly clear skin, but I occasionally get oily skin on my nose and forehead.
I was sent the Nourish Radiance Brightening Moisturiser, Purifying Cleanser and the Nourish Treatment Argan Skin Rescue. When I first opened the box containing these products, I was pleasantly surprised by the packaging. The box was filled with pink tissue paper to match the pink on the products. I thought this was a nice little touch.
The first product I tried was the Purifying Cleanser. On the packaging, it said to "Apply a small amount of cleanser to cotton wool and gently sweep over the face. Rinse with cool water and pat dry". Initially I thought this was a little odd for a cleanser as I would usually rinse my face first and then massage the cleanser over my skin and then rinse off. I tried this, first using my usual method, which didn't really work as the product did not lather up like other cleansers. The next night, I tried the suggested method. This was much more successful. It is more like a makeup remover rather than a cleanser. It removed my makeup very well, and it smelt really nice, (a sort of fresh, rose scent).

The next product I used was the Argan Skin Rescue, which is a skin oil containing essential fatty acids, omega-6 and vitamin E. Now, I'm not usually one to use oil on my face as I've never really felt the need to, but recently the dryness I get around the sides of my nose had gotten pretty bad with the cold, winter weather, so I caved in and gave it a go. I found I actually really like this product. I don't use it all the time, but when I do, I apply a small amount (this stuff goes a long way) around my nose and by the morning, the redness and dry skin is gone (thanks to the anti-inflammatory ginger extract!). I also find my foundation goes on a lot smoother around my nose after using this.

The final product I tried was the Brightening Moisturiser which contains Alpine Foxberry and a unique bio-extract of the South American Tonkan Bean. This moisturiser really does what it says. After using this, morning and night, for 2 weeks my skin is already looking much brighter and my complexion is more even. This also absorbs really quickly so it doesn't feel greasy at all.

I am really impressed with the Nourish Skincare brand. I would definitely recommend it as they cater for all skin types with all their different ranges.

I Have Found Love! (In the form of a hair product)

I know what you're thinking. No, I wasn't captured by a bunch of beauty blogger loving monkeys! I have just been ridiculously busy with doing Ball makeup for some people as well as staying on top of homework! Sorry I have been neglecting this blog for a bit! I am trying to post as regularly as I can!
Now, apologies aside, I have a product I want to talk about (don't I always?)

The other day I received an email from the lovely Belinda asking if I would like to try out the new Toni & Guy Glamour Spritz & Shine Liquid Mousse, of course I said yes! Who doesn't love trying out new products?! A few days later, a package arrived on my door step.

Glamour Spritz & Shine Liquid Mousse $15.99*

As you can probably tell from both this post my other post about the Herbal Essences hair mousse, I have really gotten into using hair products. I never used to be a person who obsessed about their hair all that much, (I still wouldn't say I'm one of those people), But I've found that hair mousse works really well with my hair which is prone to frizzing up at random times. This particular mousse is said to "enhance shine and boost body at the roots". I don't personally use this mousse all throughout my hair as I find my hair gets the most frizzy at the ends, so I can't say all that much about whether or not it does "boost body at the roots" as they say. I can however say that it adds a really natural looking shine to my hair.

How I use:

After washing my hair, I towel dry my hair and then use my fingers to gently comb through any tangles. I then squirt a small amount of product onto my hands and distribute evenly throughout the ends of my hair. Then I blow dry until mostly dry, scrunching as I go. I then twist random sections of my hair and blow dry these bits to create slight waves. And then I style my hair accordingly.

I am always picky when it comes to a hair care product scent as it remains on the hair throughout the day which can be awful if you do not like the smell. This product however smells lovely! I can't quite work out what it smells like, I just know I really enjoy it. So much so, that when I have it in my hair, I have to refrain from sniffing my hair like a loony.
When I first used this, I got lots of compliments from people at school saying my hair smelt nice! It's reassuring to know you smell good! ha!

If you are looking for a really good hair mousse, I would definitely recommend checking this product out. It is also fairly cheap for a product of such high quality.

Have you tried any of the products from the Toni & Guy Glamour range? What did you think of the products?

Picture from my instagram @Littlemissmakeupnerd

Hi lovelies! It feels like it's been ages since I last posted on here! I've been super busy lately with various projects. Don't worry, I won't bore you with the details of my homework!
In between being busy with school, I've been spending some time with my friends. A few Thursdays ago, a group of friends and I went to a hypnotist show held at my school. And the following week (At least I think it was the following week...) we went to the year 13 drama performance also held at my school.
I have a few posts planned for you all (a few makeup tutorials, OOTDs, as well as product posts and reviews! A box full of products arrived in the mail today so expect a review sometime soon!)

I'm sorry I haven't been blogging as much recently, but please bear with me. I am getting there! I just don't want to be known as the blogger who only posts once every few weeks!

I hope you are all having a nice start to the week!
