Recently I have been really inspired by Kate Bosworth's make-up. She always looks very fresh faced and elegant. Her signature look consists of a dewy base with a rosy pink blush and dark, bold eyebrows. Her simple approach to make-up makes her look fairly easy to recreate.

* Start off with a primed face. Use either a primer or moisturiser suitable for your skin type.
*  Using a semi matte finish foundation, work this into the skin being sure to blend to create a natural looking finish.
* Lightly set with loose or pressed powder. Make sure you do not over powder as you do not want to create a flat, matte finish.
* Gently pat and blend a sheer, rose coloured creme blush onto the apples of your cheeks. Using a creme blush ensures that the dewy finish will remain.
* Fill in eyebrows if needed. Fill in sparse areas in short, soft brush strokes.
* Prime eyelids with eyeshadow primer or paint pot, and apply a light cream coloured shadow all over.
* Using a light brown eyeshadow, contour the crease and outer "V" of your eyelid. Work a slightly darker brown in the outer corners of your eye.
* Apply a lengthening mascara to your upper and lower lashes.
* Kate's usual lip look is a light rose/peachy shade of pink.
* Prepare lips with lip balm. Apply chosen lipstick colour straight from the bullet. To create a softer, more casual look, dab lips with finger after you apply the lipstick.

Today is my 15th birthday! I have been looking forward to turning 15 for as long as I can remember! I'm not sure why though. hehe! Anyway, my birthday coincided with my first day back at school which was actually not as bad as I thought it would be! I received a lot of hugs and lovely birthday wishes! I just want to say a huge thank-you to everyone who made today special! I want to say a special thank-you to my close friends who organized flowers, chocolate and lollies as well as a very interesting version of "Happy Birthday!" :) Also, thank-you to my form tutor, Mr Lin for wishing me a happy birthday!

Here are some photos from today!

DISCLAIMER: By showing you pictures of my birthday presents, I am not trying to boast. I am posting the pictures for those who are interested in what I received, as I would be interested in that sort of thing as a blog reader myself!

Review | Nellie Tier

Today I am going to review 3 Nellie Tier products. A lip balm, A scent and a hand cream.
This lipbalm is my favourite of the products I was sent. It smells lovely and the texture is silky smooth. This is great if your lips are really chapped.

This hand cream is really nice. It smells great and it doesn't leave a greasy feeling on hands. It is also really moisturising  The scent of the one that I was given is may Chang and Mandarin. Once you rub this into your hands, it smells like you have just peeled an orange! The scent is lovely! Again, I would definitely recommend this.
The scent I received was ylang ylang and bergamot. It smells alright (bit too overpowering for me), but I think this scent might work more in winter. It's a really handy size and design. The scent has a little roll on ball on top (much like a roll on deodorant). This would be great for taking in handbags and generally on the go. I am keen to try some of the other scents in the range as they look promising!

Check out the Nellie Tier range at

Hope everyone is having a lovely day!
